Last week, the EU decided to extend its sanctions against Russia and Ukraine, and introduce new sanctions listings against North Korea. Most of the related measures have now been published in the Official Journal.
The EU’s sanctions against people responsible for misappropriating Ukrainian state funds have been extended until 6 March 2017 for 16 people, and 1 person has been de-listed, by Implementing Regulation 2016/311 implementing Regulation 208/2014 and Decision 2016/318 amending Decision 2014/119/CFSP. The EU’s notice to listed persons is here.
The EU Council has added the 16 people and 12 entities targeted in the UN’s new North Korea sanctions resolution to its own sanctions listings, by Implementing Regulation 2016/315 amending Regulation 329/2007 and Decision 2016/319 amending Decision 2013/183/CFSP.
