EU updates Iran human rights sanctions list

The EU has published a notice informing 20 people subject to its human rights sanctions against Iran that it intends to maintain their listings, with new statements of reasons.  The people concerned may submit a request to the Council, before 11 March 2016, for the intended reasons. The EU’s sanctions on Iran relating to human rights were not part of the JCPOA nuclear deal agreed last year.
