US renews Panama general licence

The US has published Kingpin Act: General Licence 4C, renewing its authorisation of transactions necessary for the winding down of a luxury mall in Panama until 6 January 2017 and replacing General Licence 4B.  The mall is said to be owned or controlled by the Waked Money Laundering Organisation, which was designated along with the network of its associates and related companies under US narcotics trafficking sanctions in May (see previous blog).  General Licence 4C also amended the layout of the licence and specified that some of its authorisations extend to transactions with SDNTs located in the mall.
