EU renews Moldova sanctions & updates ISIL / Al-Qaida listings


The EU has renewed its sanctions against Moldova, which impose an EU-wide travel ban on people who are responsible for designing or implementing the campaign of intimidation and closure against Latin-script schools in the Transnistria region of Moldova, until 31 October 2017.  See Decision 2016/1908 amending Decision 2010/573/CFSP.

ISIL / Al-Qaida

The EU has implemented UN updates to the entries for 3 people listed on its sanctions on ISIL / Al-Qaida.  The 3 people are Mohamed Amin Mostafa, Hilarion Del Rosario Santos III, and Anas Hasan Khattab.  See Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1906 amending Council Regulation 881/2002.
