EU member states & USA to order Russian diplomats to leave

At least 10 EU member states have agreed to order Russian officials to leave, in response to the UK’s call to action after the Skripal poisoning in Salisbury. EU leaders agreed at yesterday’s summit that Russia was highly likely to be responsible for the attack. There may be further measures next week. The states preparing to expel Russian diplomats are said to include France, Germany, Poland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Denmark. The EU’s ambassador to Moscow will be recalled on Monday for two weeks. The US will take a final decision next week.
