European Sanctions blog congratulates Lord Anderson KBE QC on peerage & knighthood

David Anderson QC.jpgDavid Anderson QC, former Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation in the UK (whose reports are regularly referred to on this blog) and barrister at Brick Court Chambers, has just been appointed to a cross-bench peerage (ie a non-party lifetime appointment to the House of Lords, the second legislative chamber of the UK Parliament). He has also been granted a knighthood. He is (inter alia!) a leading advocate in key sanctions cases in the European Court including the leading case Kadi I. Brick Court Chambers announcement here.
